Premium Travel Pet Protection with Ultimate Versatility
The Dakota 283 2D Side Entry Kennel transforms the way you travel with your companion, blending elite military-grade protection with unparalleled spatial efficiency. Perfect for luxury SUVs, truck cabs, and overlanding vehicles, this heavy-duty double-door travel dog crate features a highly unique two-door configuration. By allowing access from both the front and the side, you can position the kennel parallel to your vehicle’s side walls or seats—saving precious cargo depth without restricting your dog’s entry.
Crafted with the same high-performing, single-piece rotomolded construction trusted by top trainers and outdoor enthusiasts, the Dakota 283 two (2) door kennel delivers ultimate peace of mind on every journey. This hybrid frame features a compact, vehicle-friendly footprint while offering extra headroom for your pet, proving that elite safety and thoughtful design go hand-in-hand.
Dakota 283 crates are made from military grad materials molded from medium density polyethylene resin, a tough, impact resistant plastic known for its strength and durability. They are impact resistant because of high density polyethylene resin, are one piece molded for strength, have reinforced frames and locks, and are built to withstand the rigors of travel, training, and outdoor use. The stainless steel lock and latch mechanism not only keeps pets secure but also contributes to the crate’s durability by using corrosion resistant, high strength components. This is the crate you want your dog in if you are ever in a vehicle accident.
Why Dogominium Loves the Dakota 283 2D Side Entry Crate
We are entirely obsessed with clever spatial design, and the Dakota 283 2D Side Entry Kennel is an absolute game-changer for travel. Too often, protecting your dog with a heavy-duty crate means completely sacrificing the utility of your SUV trunk or truck cab. This kennel solves that exact dilemma.
By integrating a side-access door, Dakota 283 allows you to position the crate parallel to your seats or side walls. You get the peace of mind of a military-grade, crush-proof travel system without losing the cargo depth needed for luggage, groceries, or outdoor gear. It’s smart, uncompromising luxury for the modern, active dog owner.
